We depart from Klara Mälarstrand, right in the center of Stockholm. From there, we cruise west through the quiet Karlberg Canal – a green and narrow passage lined with charming houseboats, small gardens, and the historic Karlberg Palace. This part of Lake Mälaren offers a rare glimpse into Stockholm’s blend of nature and urban beauty.
Our journey continues past the modern waterfront area of Hornsberg, and then turns south around Kungsholmen island. We enter the scenic and narrow Långholmen Canal, where trees stretch over the water and the old prison island of Långholmen rises quietly in the background – now a public park loved by locals.
This private boat tour on Lake Mälaren ends with a beautiful view of Södermalm and the city skyline reflected in the waters of Riddarfjärden, before we return to Klara Mälarstrand.
